Abercraf Horseshoe(ish)

A full house today with Mr and Mrs Navigator, Paul, Chris, me and Daisy the dog.

With good weather once again forecast and probably with Autumn coming to a close the decision today was to head towards Abercraf where there would be plenty of opportunity to see the last of the Autumn colours.

Route ( a slight hiccup with the software from Henrhyd Falls to Craig y Nos, but the yellow road was basically followed to Craig y Nos)

Our first objective was Henrhyd waterfall which was at the end of a lovely valley walk up the Afon Llech. From here we joined a minor road leading to Craig Y Nos Country Park where we had our lunch.

On leaving Craig Y Nos we crossed the road and headed uphill to the limestone hill of Cribarth where there are a number of worked out quarries. An easy down hill walk followed an old tramway which took us back to our car in Abercraf.
